Brad Wood has been a member of VFW Post 9010
since 2010.
Born at Fort Bragg, North Carolina, Brad is in the process of retiring from the United States Army Reserve after a 28-years of combined active and reserve service in the United States Army Judge Advocate General’s Corps. Brad deployed to Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1996-1997 in support of Operation Joint Endeavor/Joint Guard and to Iraq in 2008-2009 in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom.
Brad graduated from Wake Forest University in 1992 and was commissioned as a Second Lieutenant through the Wake Forest University Army ROTC Program. He graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 1995. Brad also earned a Master of Strategic Studies degree from the U.S. Army War College in 2017.
Brad is a Partner with the law firm of Womble Bond Dickinson (U.S.), LLP in Winston-Salem, N.C., where he has worked for 22 years.
Brad and his wife of 29 years, Susan, live in Winston-Salem. They have three adult children: Owen, Elizabeth, and Samuel.
